Industrial Court to go fully Digital next Year pulse.ug, Samson Waswa, April 25, 2024 | The Industrial Court of Uganda has unveiled plans to roll out a digital strategy that will enable workers to file complaints and attend proceedings remotely. Jackson Kafuuzi, speaking at the Labour Convention The strategy is set to be implemented as early as next year according to Justice Anthony Wabwire , a judge of the Industrial Court. “ Our vision is to be able to administer justice without the physical presence of any of the parties ,” Wabwire said on Thursday. “In a year or so, somebody should be able to present a case on a cell phone. All we need are cameras and we already have some support from ILO, we shall have a fully digitized space, ” he said. Industrial Court Luncheon in honour of the Retiring Chief Judge (now Head Judge)  On Thursday, the staff of the Industrial Court hosted a luncheon for the court’s Head Judge, Justice Asaph Ntengye Ruhinda, after clocking his mandatory retirement age. The party which took place at Lojola Gardens in Kisaasi was also attended by the Judge’s wife  and his two daughters. He rose through the ranks to serve as Chief Registrar before he was appointed the Chief Judge (now Head Judge) of the Industrial Court on the 12th
